Crystal was born in Valdosta, Georgia and raised in Echols County.  Crystal is the daughter of James (Jim) Sandlin and Phyllis Suggs.  She is the grand-daughter of Gwynette Sandlin, the late Joe Sandlin, Jr. and late Austin and Wynell (Deal) Corbett.  She is a 1993 graduate of Echols County High School.  She continued her education at Valdosta State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from Medical College of Georgia in 1997.  After graduating from college she continued to pursue her career with Publix Supermarkets, Inc which moved her to Jacksonville, Florida in 2000.  While living in Jacksonville, she met and married her husband of eight years, Michael (Mike) Miller.  They have two boys, Austin Michael (5) and Andrew Lawson (3).  After having her first child, Crystal left Publix after 12 years to be a stay at home mom.  In 2008, Crystal and her family moved back to Echols County where she is now employed by First State Bank and Trust.
