Brenda Stalvey, County Clerk/Administrator

Graduate of Echols County High School.  Began working for the county in 1992. She is certified as a county clerk and also has attended the training required for County Commissioner certification.

In October of 2006, the Board of Commissioners changed her title and job duties to include County Administration.  Besides attending training to stay current on county issues, Brenda attends meetings for Commissioners when they cannot attend.

The Georgia County Clerks Association voted her Clerk of the Year for 2006-2007.  She is the current (2008-2009) president of the Georgia County Clerks’ Association representing all 159 Georgia counties. She is a member of the Board of Managers for the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia. This year she was re-elected as the secretary for the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council for the third time.  This board represents an eighteen-county area and consists of 36 members who assist with the development of the area plan for aging programs, advocates for the interests of older individuals and facilitates coordination of services for the elderly. Brenda is an active member of the South Georgia Regional Development Authority.
